Bobby McNeil Jr. is a nationally recognized, award-winning Talent Acquisition Leader, author, and community builder whose journey began on the basketball court — a standout at Fuquay-Varina High School who earned a full athletic and academic scholarship to Barton College and helped the underdog 2007 team win the NCAA Division II National Championship.
After graduating with honors as a student-athlete, Bobby launched his professional path in 2009 as a recruiter. Over the next decade, he became known as one of the most trusted voices in talent acquisition with expertise across tech, engineering, R&D, finance, and beyond. His reputation rests not only on connecting top talent with meaningful opportunities, but also on sustaining success across industries with consistency, authenticity, and impact.
Beyond his corporate success, Bobby has led at the intersection of career and culture. As former President of Blacks In Technology Raleigh-Durham, he led the chapter earn global recognition with the 2023 IMPACT Award and 2024 Chapter of the Year. He now serves as Vice President of Development for the National Black MBA Association's Raleigh-Durham Triad Chapter. His efforts earned him the National Black MBA Association's Board Impact Award, recognizing his exceptional leadership and commitment to the organization.
In 2025, Bobby released his debut book, Cracking the Code, a candid and culturally grounded career guide blending personal stories, lessons learned, and practical strategies for navigating today's competitive job market. Nicknamed The Career Book for the Culture, it equips readers to pursue their careers with confidence and clarity. The same year, he delivered an impactful TEDx talk, Not Breaking In But Becoming, that challenged conventional narratives around access and achievement, inspiring audiences to own their career journey with confidence and purpose.
Bobby's thought leadership has been featured on platforms, national podcasts, and in media outlets including CNBC. He also serves on the Board of Advisors for the North Carolina Technology Association.
